International Jam of the Week: Aaja Nachle

This is the title track from the 2007 Bollywood film "Aaja Nachle" starring Madhuri Dixit. My good friend Kamala_chan, ChiBot 3Staqs and I had an early morning Bollywood jamfest on Facebook when Kamala put us on to this. The music is fun, the colors are dreamy, but the most captivating element is Madhuri. She moves with a enticing mixture of grace, seduction, and control with pinches of playfulness sprinkled all over the place. Control is the keyword here. Every move seems flawless, on point. No over exaggeration whatsoever in her movements or facial expressions. She give you just enough and leaves you wanting more. I forgot to mention how much charisma she has: tons. This scene is gold.

I've watched this video at least five times. I geek out on the 2:28 mark. You may judge me now.

Because My Hair is Laid...Like Poetry....

Press play to feel the essence, the wisdom, the POWER that is this diva's poetic hair! The poem at the end should be written down and recited daily. Did a wayward bitch come at you, attempting to ruin your day? You can simply turn around and say "Bitch, my hair is LAID!"

Jam of the Week: Abraham Linkin- "I Got It At Ross"

....and the hits just keep on coming. BARGAIN SHOPPERS UNITE!!!! STAND UP!!!!

This one is dedicated to all the frugal fashionista's who don't mind wearing last years clothes as long as they look good, all the moms who hit up the outlet store last minute for back to school, all the people who like to furnish their apartments on a tight budget, all the bargain hunting mavens who like to brag about getting that cute Harajuku bag for $20 (when it was originally $70). Look good for less playa! Where y'alls coupons at?! Throw 'em in the air!!(then pick them right back up because you know you'll need that for the color dot sales)

Stunin' like my daddy, bargain shoppin' like my mama!

I can totally hear DJ Khaled doing a remix to this.

International Jam of the Week: Rain-"Love Song"

Anyone who's seen my Facebook wall or has had a conversation with me all week knows how much I adore this man. From the first time I heard the first line of  "I Do" to this video, I love his voice! It's so unique from some of the other dudes out there because of it's...rawness is the best word I can think of to describe it. It shocks you when you hear it because of how different it is. Plus this guy has it all. He acts, he sings, he dances, and he has a clothing line. Perfect heartthrob package. And yes, it helps that he has a fantastic physique and beautiful lips.

The acting in this video is what it is. His sweetness and heartbreak gestures steal the show, and the girl is kind of just blended in and goes between being in love to being indifferent and untouchable (though she's very pretty). It's the dancing that makes it worthwhile. In fact, it's the dancing towards the end that makes it really worthwhile.

The homie Chibot and I watched this vid for he first time two nights ago, and we've been saying "What shall I do" in Korean ever since.

Anywho, enjoy. And try not to drool all over the keyboard or make your boyfriend do the any part of the dance. You'd be disappointed.

Daniel Moore- "Halfway Love"

So there I was listening to the little Music Choice R&B channel on my tv when this song came on. I literally stopped whatever internet foolishness I was up to, got up, walked into the living room, and actually listened to the song.
That was just 20 minutes ago.
This must be what "love at first sight" must feel like. Just switch out "sight" with "listen".
Daniel Moore is definitely on my list of artist to watch. The video above is a live and uncut version of the song. Press play to fall in love with the sound.

Even in sims form Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte still slay you $2 chicken sandwich trollops! Absolutely LOVE it! They totally need to make the city and sims available for download to celebrate the premier. Press play and prepare to be utterly dazzled!

M.I.A- Born Free

New song from M.I.A called "Born Free". Word at the playground is that the new album is supposed to drop June 29th, so be on the lookout. Hopefully it'll be just as great as "Arular" and "Kala", seeing as M.I.A is an artist who puts out amazingly solid albums. I honestly haven't heard a bad track from her yet! This track being no exception, it kind of gives you an electro-punk feel, which fits the song's lyrical content. The beat, however, makes you want to dance, which would be perfect for the airwaves! So I give this two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Press play to share my excitement!

Tom Felton- "Time Well Spent"

Yes, THAT Tom Felton. And for those who don't exactly know, he's the dude who plays Draco Malfoy in all the Harry Potter films. Did y'all know he can sing?! And that he has some songs p on iTunes as well?! Well now you do. I'd spend my lil coins because the songs are so catchy and sweet like the one in the video. So if you get this stuck in your head for the rest of the day then don't feel any kind of way. Just enjoy this feel good music and be glad that it's not Gucci Mane *sigh*

Common presents Think Wright Vol. 1 Mixtape

So Common has a new movie coming out on May 14 called "Just Wright", and this mixtape is inspired by the upcoming film. Word in the sandbox is that volume 2 will be out soon. It'll be more hip hop related, which is great since he's co-starring with Queen Latifah, so it makes sense. But about this first volume, man oh man it's beautiful. He has tracks from Jamiroquai, Dwele, Bjork, and many more! It's positively magical! It almost gives you the feeling that you're floating in a sea of good music with multi-colored waves. Yes I did just say that and I am not ashame of it. This has got to be the best stuff I've heard this year so far. Download for free and enjoy. I know I am!

International Jambox Jam of the Week: Dalida- "Flamenco Oriental"

Hey! Hey! Hey Hey Hey Hey!!

I know that this song is kinda old, but seeing as it was brought to my attention just a couple of months ago, it's still fairly fresh to me. I feel like I've been missing out on something mad important. This woman was amazing! She was so beautiful and talented! She recorded songs in Italian, Greek, French, Hebrew, Japanese, Arabic, German, and English (I'm pretty sure I missed a couple of languages), and has had 19 number one hit singles in at least four of them (Italian, French, German, Arabic). Yet, barely anybody over here in the states has ever heard of her! Amazing! And to top it all off, she's dead. That actually makes me sad because her music is so great. Luckily her fans still keep her legacy alive, and the website is still up for those of us who want to learn more about her. Until then, enjoy this Jam of the Week. Chow!

...and no one can tell me otherwise!
I see you drooling baby. Would you like a tissue?
I spotted your uncle striking poses, dancing, and killing dusty trollops with his style and grace on the mean streets of US 41 in Naples, Florida. I did not know they got down like THAT over there...hmm...
